Contains a brief history of Larson's involvement in the war. Discusses his induction, assignment to the infantry due to manpower shortages, training, and deployment on the front lines in Belgium. Includes an account of his combat experience in Ardennes (Battle of the Bulge), his capture, care in German hospitals, and imprisonment in the Stalag X1-B POW camp, Fallingbostel, Germany. Discusses Larson's belief that he obtained divine protection throughout the war. Also contains an article, published in a veteran's newsletter, summarizing his combat and POW experiences. Includes numerous editorials, submitted by Larson, in local newspapers. Also includes a list of his published books, synopses of the books' content, and related correspondence. Photographs include: Larson in full military dress and in his later years, and Larson's wife.

Larson served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943-1945.
